Good Morning, Oceania!
Yes, the World Cup Final was on this morning, and although France probably deserved to win, it went to penalty shootouts, and as such, Italy won. As a Second-Generation Australian of German Extraction, who used to study French, seeing all of my bets getting nastily beaten by Italy has been quite disappointing.
Since I don't want to bore you with the Zidan story, which you undoubtedly know about now, I'll point out that the Italians tried to reuse their successful tactic used against Australia - diving near the goal with seconds to go, with the intention of getting a free. Today, the ref had none of it...
Anyway. No running commentaries from me, as Hannah will probably do that for me.

Hello there. Just a quick update now that I've regained feeling in my hands. I finally got around to finishing stripping the paint off the Door/Skirting/Window in my bedroom, and as soon as we get the go-ahead from the painter, will get it prepared to be varnished.
I also removed the fireplace/mantlepiece, which are going to be acid-dipped + reconditioned (coat of varnish also). So, all-in-all, a much fun day today.
With any luck, I'll be back in my room by the end of term! (It's been far too long)
